Yeah, well if it's only the shell why not just show it?
If they were so confident they would done so, as well as nailing down price and giving firm details on aspects such as preowned games. They're waiting for Microsoft to show their hand first.
That's fine though, all part and parcel of the next-gen mind games!
Keep the old consoles.
Somewhat ironic comment after the PS4 no-show?
Hopefully there will be leaks, or at least some nudge-nudge stuff after the event..
Hurry up with the big reveal.. and make sure it's big..
Microsoft tolerated, as Eurogamer put it, XBLIG long enough, and when indie developers keep churning out useless games in nonsense genres such as "satirical shooter" it's hard to feel much sympathy for them. Guess they shot themselves in the Fouts.
It's basically the opposite of the big budget, triple-A style development Cliff Bleszinski is talking about in his blog - I know what I'd rather support..
Keep the old console if you really want to play its games.
BC tends to be rubbish anyway.
Good on him for saying it.
How's that any more confusing than, say, a PS2, PS2 Slim and PS3? Or Xbox and 360, or whatever. People aren't fools..
It would be nice if they could stop kicking the difficult questions into the long grass, ie., post-720 announcement. If it's "the right thing" just come out and tell us what it is.
It's not unwarranted at all, lol. A couple of dozen presenters take to the stage and none of them are women - why? Nothing wrong with asking.
I'm not one for defending Kotaku but the article does raise a valid issue. I don't remember the question being put to any Sony people after the conference, so that kinda highlights where games journalism is at.
I think they'd be wise to announce that a sequel for at least one of those is coming, whether it's launch or first year or whatever, alongside a new high profile game.
Anyway, PS4 is launching with a new Killzone and the Wii U launched with NSMBU, so it wouldn't be so unusual!
Excellent, was buying anyway but a strong exclusive never goes amiss. Is Knack also a launch title?
Hopefully they'll bring the console!
As for 'a games', just have one really good one for launch window, a Halo or Gears of War for next gen, and all is well. Bonus points for Rare-developed.
For free? You stealin' it, dawg?
Sweet game, remember playing it in 2010.
Love the idea of an RTS-type game on Kinect so this sounds great - also the screenshot has a Killzone: Liberation vibe to it so that's great on great!
Really good game, deserves a sequel..
There's some suggestions in the article ... I've no idea what Xbox Live will look like next gen, but as you say, if it offers more then it's acceptable to expect to pay more.
We know Ryse is coming, a Gears of War RTS on Kinect is all but confirmed and Project Gotham Racing 5 looks like a safe bet.
A few other games that were meant to be on 360 could also now be next gen, namely Crimson Dragon, LocoCycle and Matter.
